Let me briefly take you through what I’ve done for others.
Oi

Oi

National launch, new product, small budget, challenger brand, crowded market. Oi’s tampons and pads are organic with no nasties. They needed brand awareness. Cato’s award-winning brand positioning was around ‘protest’. We had a great story and needed to educate the public - so I implemented a mix of Google Adwords, Google Analytics, influencers, PR, a launch party, experiential and social media advertising. Secured THREE news and the social media machine reached 25,000 Kiwi women every week. They made 2nd place google search ranking 3 months after launching.

Ranqx

Easy, up-to-date financial benchmarking cloud software that needed a new website and brand awareness amongst accountants. Project managed the build of the new website from wireframe to ‘go live’ with Google Analytics in place. Produced customer video testimonials, managed their blog, social media advertising, electronic direct mail, partner PR and Google Adwords. Their two major drivers for website traffic are now Facebook Ads and Adwords.

An Auckland charity looking to influencing the mindset of adults around kids sport. I implemented and managed a social media campaign for their Good Sports Program and presented detailed strategic plans for their Hera Campaign (keeping girls in sport). Good Sports aim to educate and support NZ adults about how they impact children in sport and how they can enable positive sporting experiences to have kids stay in sports longer. I worked up a messaging framework before designing a Facebook advertising campaign targeting two different types of parent. We smashed targets: 50% of our target audience in the first 10 weeks - and overall 20% of all New Zealand families with kids aged between 5 and 16.

This long-standing events company needed new eyes on their marketing efforts to help attract new clients and reconnect with old. These guys are unique in what they do and work hard to bring to life strategic messages through events with the largest corporates in New Zealand. I started with a deep dive customer survey to work up ‘Buyer Personas’ and devising a messaging framework. They also needed a new showreel for their Homepage. I helped finalised the build of their new website, ensuring Google Analytics in place and lacing in key search terms to improve SEO. We then started on Google Adwords, a Video Thought Leadership Series and Social Media Advertising.

A charity looking to maximise digital marketing opportunities. Coeliac NZ provides information, support groups, restaurant accreditation and supports research into the disease. I took a look at their current marketing tactics and presented to the board my thoughts on strategic opportunities. This Voice over IP business (now sold to Voyager) had their sights set on Australia and growing their market share at home. I helped them with a mix of communications, producing blogs for a social media push across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, whilst supporting their expo event plans in Sydney.

Craft beer delivery - NZ startup that needed help with their ‘tone of voice’ so they could start designing delivery boxes. Their main touchpoint with customers is the delivery box and the brand tone needed to be just right. I designed a questionnaire to help tease out the personality they had in mind and showed them how it might manifest. I aim to leave a company confident to use their ‘voice’ across all customer touch points when I'm done.

Now, strictly speaking, these guys were never clients, I was an employee, but I thought I’d share what I did for them. I managed of all communications, software copy, PR, customer newsletters, emails, awards submissions and customer testimonials. We were expanding into the US and Australia. I wrote the submissions that ensured we featured in the Deloitte Fast 50, won AUT's Excellence in Business Support Awards 2015, and were shortlisted for the 2016 Hi-Tech Awards. I also produced their global customer video, which was used across the board; from acquisition, to raising capital, and involved filming happy customers in New Zealand, Australia and America.
